ANAF launched a new service for taxpayers:
"Data access through SMS"

A.N.A.F. launched a new service for taxpayers - "Data access through SMS", operational from April 30^th 2013. The procedure for the service “Data access through SMS" was approved by the Order of ANAF president no. 504/2013.

The interested taxpayers can obtain public information about a certain economic agent by sending a text message through SMS that contains the fiscal identification code of that company, to number 1300. The taxpayer will receive an SMS as response through the mobile telephony operators, with the following available data:

- Fiscal identification code (example: 123456);

- Economic agent name (example: SC XXXXX SRL);

- Registered/not registered for VAT (example: VAT YES/NO);

- Inactivity condition of the economic agent (example: FISCAL INACTIVE YES/NO);

- Application of VAT system on collection (example: VAT COLLECTION YES/NO);

- Security code established by A.N.A.F. (example: 123456789).

The information provided through SMS is in accordance with the data from the database of the National Agency for Fiscal Administration.

To start with, the service "Data access through SMS" will be available in Orange and Vodafone mobile telephony networks, following to be also used in other networks in the following period.

The cost generated by using the service of short messages is borne by the taxpayers that request the information. The fee for such service is established and collected by the mobile telephony operators. The cost is not collected by the National Agency for Fiscal Administration.
